NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. -- School officials in New Hartford say they're taking precautions after a student at New Hartford High School was diagnosed with Hepatitis A.
Hepatitis A is a contagious virus, but no other students have shown symptoms.
The district's superintendent released a statement saying they believe other students are at a low risk of catching the disease.
But, they have cleaned their building and notified parents and staff of some recommended guidelines to keep students healthy.
