TULLY, N.Y. -- People are trying to help one local food pantry expand by holding a bake-off benefit in Tully. The proceeds are going towards the Saint Leo's Church food pantry.

The pantry is only the size of a closet, and leaders want to help the charitable group grow. People bid on items, hoping to raise money for the organization. If you're interested in donating, the food pantry officials said they hope to accept more than just food.

"They think about donating things like peanut butter and jelly, but they don't think about things like toiletries. When people come in, we just don't have it. You can't buy toiletries with food stamps," said Linda Milea, organizer.

There was a cupcake challenge, and a cake carving demonstration. YNN's Brad Vivacqua was also one of the judges for the bake-off.
