ELBRIDGE, N.Y. -- It was a big weekend for the Jordan-Elbridge Marching Eagles.
Parents and students welcomed them home Sunday after a victory at Met Life Stadium in the Meadowlands. The band took home first place in the U.S. Bands Yamaha Cup. They stood out against the competition as 59 other bands performed in the event.
Lindsay Patterson said, "I can honestly say that I am proud to be a drum major for the Jordan-Elbridge Marching Eagles, and I wouldn't trade this experience for anything."
Cordell Rogers said, "This season shows that with hard work, dedication and perseverance we can come out on top. It's just been awesome."
The band also won five special awards including best percussion, visual, overall effect, and color guard.
