BROOME COUNTY, N.Y. -- Three people were arrested this weekend after Binghamton Police broke up two large fraternity parties.
Officers say Tau Alpha Upsilon and Alpha Chi Rho were hosting large celebrations for BU's homecoming weekend. Hundreds of people were inside and hundreds more were around the houses. Police say underage students were drinking and undercover officers were able to buy alcohol.
Claude Fong, 21, Zachary Stein, 21, and Matthew Opramolla, 20, were arrested and charged with misdemeanor prohibited sales of alcohol.
The busts are part of a coordinated effort by Binghamton PD to curb underage drinking.
