SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- He's arguably the most influential democrat in the country and this Friday, former President Bill Clinton will be in town stumping for Dan Maffei in the 24th Congressional District.
Clinton visited the area around this time two years ago, trying to sway voters to the left in the hotly contested 2010 race between Maffei and Republican Ann Marie Buerkle.
This time around, it's Buerkle trying to hold onto her Congressional seat.
The visit from the former president is open to the public. It will be at 1 p.m. this Friday at the Landmark Aviation Hangar Building 113, located on Tuskegee Road in Syracuse.
