MONROE COUNTY, N.Y. -- The New Hartford man accused of killing a College at Brockport freshman last month has been indicted for murder.

Prosecutors say Clayton Whittemore, 21, killed Alexandra Kogut, 18, inside her dorm room on September 29th.

A grand jury indicted Whittemore on one count of murder in the second degree. If convicted, he could face 25 years to life in prison

Kogut was also originally from New Hartford. Investigators say they were dating when the teen was attacked.
