ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- The state is investigating a death at a local nursing home.

The Department of Health says it happened at Loretto's Cunningham Nursing Home on East Brighton Avenue. They would only tell us allegations include a resident choking death, but did not provide any further details.

At this point, they are simply investigating as part of protocol and they say no citations have been issued.
