SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Just a couple of months after announcing that Destiny USA was done expanding, developers have filed a notice of claim against the city.

Destiny has reserved the right to sue Syracuse about canceled plans to close a part of Hiawatha Boulevard. When developers stopped the expansion, city officials decided not to close the road. The original Destiny plan called for the mall to grow through the road.

Owners and the city also have a standing disagreement about parking lots in the same area.

Developers have one year to file a lawsuit against Syracuse.
