TIOGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- Two people are dead following an overnight crash in Tioga County. It happened on State Route 38 in Newark Valley just after midnight.

State police say Lucinda Klees, 54, of Endicott lost control of her car and hit a guide rail on a bridge. Klees and her passenger, Patrick Ackley, 34, of Berkshire, were both pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
