NYC fugitive arrested in Syracuse
SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- A New York City man wanted for attempted murder has been caught in Syracuse. Police arrested Ammar Ali, 23, at Ali's Market on Hawley Avenue earlier this week.
Ali is wanted on two warrants for separate incidents: one for criminal sale of a controlled substance and the other for second-degree attempted murder.
In that incident, police say Ali shot a victim during a robbery and later fired several shots at NYPD officers.
Ali is now being held at the Onondaga County Jail awaiting transport back to New York City.
