SCIPIO, N.Y. -- State police are investigating a car crash in Cayuga County that sent several people to the hospital. Two cars collided on Route 34 near Mosher Road in the town of Scipio on Wednesday.

Investigators say Doris Hrycko, 37, of Genoa was driving north on Route 34 in the town of Scipio when her SUV collided head-on with another SUV driven by Marvin Gardner, 77, of Catskill.

Hrycko, Gardner, and Gardner's wife, Suzanne, were all airlifted to Upstate University Hospital. Their conditions have not been released at this time and there's no word yet on what caused the crash.
