NEW YORK -- An annual event that tested the knowledge of students for almost three decades is not returning this year. The Drug Quiz Show has been teaching students across the state about drugs, alcohol and other social pressures since 1984.

However, a lack of funding forced organizers to cancel this year's event. Organizers say it became more and more difficult throughout the years to find sponsors to help cover many of the expenses.

It was announced through the Drug Quiz Show's Facebook page that the show would not be able to go on.
