UTICA, N.Y. -- Good news for job seekers in Utica: The customer service company APAC says it plans to bring nearly 200 new jobs to the city.
Utica Mayor Robert Palmieri made the announcement Thursday at City Hall. He says his staff has been working with APAC since January on reinvestment ideas.
The city will hold a job fair to help the company fill the positions on October 23rd from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at City Hall.
Palmieri says the city's effort is another example of his commitment to help companies build a new workforce.
"I think you see the partnership working with local businesses, that's what this administration is all about and I think what APAC's all about. It's not just jobs, it's a career opportunity that they are providing," he said.
APAC says applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a GED or high school degree.
