AUBURN, N.Y. -- The Auburn community is back "on-deck" in support of a local food pantry.

Captain Jack's Haunted Pirate Ship has made port for a 5th year of fundraising for the Calvary Food Pantry.

Rick Martinez, better known as Captain Jack, turns his yard into a Halloween attraction, complete with a haunted ship and pumpkin patch.

In order to board the vessel, visitors must pay a fee of one or more canned food goods to be donated to the pantry.

"It's about community and giving back, and this is our way of giving back by doing it by a canned good per person. So this way all families can come through," says Event Organizer Captain Jack.

You can check out the ship this Saturday and again next Friday and Saturday from 7 to 10 p.m.
