SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse Police are investigating a double shooting in the City of Syracuse that left one man dead. It happened on the 600 block of Catherine Street just before 8:30 p.m. Friday.

When police arrived on scene, they located Walter Belle,30, of South Carolina, who appeared to have a serious injury. He was transported to Upstate University Hospital where he later died.

The other victim, a male in his 20s, had what police say is a minor injury.
