SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Prices at the pump are on the decline. The average price for gas in Syracuse fell five cents in the past week to $3.96 per gallon. That's nine cents lower than one month ago.

Prices fell across the country, too. The national average fell nine cents to $3.67 per gallon.

Analysts say this is the most significant drop since the recession began in 2008.
