WATERTOWN, N.Y. -- Watertown City Councilor Roxanne Burns plead guilty to driving with ability impaired by alcohol in city court on Monday. Burns admitted to drinking before she drove her SUV into a railing outside of a local country club last December.
The city councilor had her license suspended for 90 days. She faces fines and fees of $750 after the plea. Burns also admitted that she left the Ives Hill Country Club without reporting the property damage accident. She was heading home for a retirement party for a city judge.
When police got to her home, Burns blew a .20. She must also complete 100 hours of community service.
