SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- This is geared toward anyone who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, or perhaps has been a breast cancer survivor for a while. Lisa Miles is a breast cancer survivor and an employee at Crouse who came up with this idea.

The Pink Therapy Support Group will meet on the fourth Tuesday of every month beginning tonight. The goal is for breast cancer patients to learn more about the symptoms, and meet others dealing with the same thing. The sessions will include discussions and light exercise programs led by a few physical therapists.

Miles says the general idea is to help heal the mind and body of anyone dealing with breast cancer.

"Part of the healing process after a cancer diagnosis is support from others who have been through similar situations. So, yeah, we're hoping that we'll be able to come together and take time to share our stories and encourage one another," said Lisa Miles, Crouse Physical Rehab. Services Supervisor.

The sessions are free and there will be a meet and greet tonight from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. It will take place in Crouse's Marley Education Center, which is directly across from the hospital.

You are asked to pre-register if you wish to attend the sessions, which you can do by calling (315) 472-2464.
