FULTON, N.Y. -- A Fulton man is accused of holding a woman hostage in his home for two days. She was at the home on Jones Drive to pick up her belongings, but according to police, Richard Meers, 41, didn't let her leave. Instead, he tied her up and threatened her with a knife.

Police said she was only able to get out when Meers left the home, and she locked him out. When he broke back in, police said she got out and escaped to a neighbor's house. According to police, the victim had an order of protection against Meers. He is being charged with first degree criminal contempt, unlawful imprisonment, and menacing.
