ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. – An Onondaga Nation man has been arrested following a two year investigation into an armed carjacking.

Jeffrey Smoke, 30, was wanted in connection with a carjacking back in December 2010. Officials say Smoke and another man, Thomas Lowe, 32, carjacked a woman at gun point on East Conklin Avenue.

Smoke has been charged with robbery, criminal use of a firearm, grand larceny and menacing. He's behind bars at the Onondaga County Justice Center without bail.

Lowe, meanwhile, is currently serving time for the carjacking.
