BALDWINSVILLE, N.Y. -- This is an opportunity to not only help the American Cancer Society, but also check out the operation of the brewery, which has been an important part of the local economy for close to four decades. Tickets for tonight's event are $100, but officials say the funds will help significantly.

A purchase of a ticket will allow you to sample a number of products, enjoy dinner from Dinosaur Barbeque, and tour the brewery.

The Budweiser plant currently employs about 450 people and produces close to six million barrels of beer each year. The proceeds will go back to the American Cancer Society for research, education, and patient services.

"We were lucky enough to be able to partner with Anheuser Busch who has donated the use of their space. And, we felt this venue had a lot of appeal, people haven’t been here, so we thought this was a great place to hold an event. It would make people want to come, and create something CNY has never seen before," said Betsy Guilfoil, American Cancer Society Special Events Director.

The brewery doesn't give public tours, so this poses a rare opportunity to see the operation locally.

Tonight's event takes place at the Budweiser Brewery in Baldwinsville from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tickets are $100 and to get them, you must call ahead at (315) 382-1519.
