SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Traffic was slow-moving on Interstate 81 North through Syracuse Thursday morning following two accidents. The first crash was reported around 8 a.m., involving a medical-transport bus.

Crews reduced I-81 North to only one lane at the I-481 exit to clean up the scene.

No passengers were on board the bus.

Then, around 9:30 a.m., a tractor trailer went over the guiderail in the same area. The road continues to be closed while crews are cleaning up a fuel spill from the tractor trailer accident.

Police say both accidents are minor but created a traffic jam. They suggest anyone driving into Syracuse from the south should use I-481 to avoid any delays.
