PHOENIX, N.Y. -- Friends and family still questioning the death of a Liverpool native gathered Friday to watch a Dr. Phil episode highlighting the suspicions that she was murdered by her ex-fiancé.

Sheena Morris, 22, was found hanging in a Florida hotel bathroom in 2009. Her death was ruled a suicide. But Morris' family and friends believe her ex-fiancé, Joe Genoese, was responsible for her death.

In the episode watched Friday, a polygraph expert said that Genoese was deceitful during a polygraph test.

"I really wasn't surprised by the results of the polygraph test because I had long suspected to him to have some kind of involvement," said Kelly Holland, a friend of Sheena.

"All it did was just confirm what I have always thought, that Joe is responsible for killing my daughter," said David Morris, Sheena’s father.

We were unable to reach Genoese for comment regarding the episodes and the polygraph test. He did defend himself on the show, maintaining his innocence and not knowing why the test suggested anything other than the truth.

In a Herald-Tribune article, Genoese is quoted as saying, "They set me up. If I was guilty of anything, why would I go out there."

The investigation was re-opened by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement a little over two weeks ago.
