BREWERTON, N.Y. -- A fire at a home in Brewerton rekindled, forcing crews to return to the home for a second time in 24 hours. The home on Bennett Street first caught fire around 4:45 a.m. on Friday, and took about five hours to put out.

It rekindled again around 10:15 p.m. on Friday, and required at least six fire department to respond. Fire officials said the home is a total loss. Three families, 13 people in all, lived in the home. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
