Canastota woman injured in crash
VERONA, N.Y. -- A Canastota woman fell asleep at the wheel, causing a rollover crash in Oneida County. It happened at 2:15 a.m. on Saturday on State Route 46 in the town of Verona.
Officials said Brandi Carpenter, 19, fell asleep while driving and went off the road. They said she slid into a utility pole, causing her vehicle to roll over. Carpenter was taken to St. Elizabeth's Hospital for pain to her upper leg and hip.
