WATERTOWN, N.Y. -- A Fort Drum man is accused of DWI, stealing a car, and damaging several properties.

State Police say 27-year-old Daniel Longnecker stole a car from Utah Street on Fort Drum and caused several hit and run accidents. Police say he then abandoned it at Allen's Budget Motel on State Route 342 Saturday.

Troopers say Longnecker also damaged the front door of a nearby home while officers were trying to track him down.

Longnecker was arrested and charged with DWI, grand larceny, and felony criminal mischief.
