OSWEGO COUNTY, N.Y. -- An electrical grid disturbance forced the shutdown of Nine Mile 1 Monday night.
Constellation Energy says a lighting pole fell onto an electrical component. The reactor automatically shutdown because it couldn't transmit power.
Owners say that Nine Mile 1 will go back online when repairs are made to the grid. Unit 2 has been running at full power during the interruption.
