CORTLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- A new yoghurt plant and agritourism center could bring dozens of jobs to Cortland County. Byrne Dairy made the announcement Wednesday afternoon in Cortlandville.
The multi-million dollar project will be based in the Finger Lakes East Park. It’s expected to bring more than 70 brand new jobs to the area.
Byrne Dairy officials say they want the Cortland County community to be involved and become educated in the up and coming industry.
The company also says they will continue to use the 285 New York based farms for milk.
Construction is expected to begin next year.
