ELMIRA, N.Y. -- A sex offender was arrested for allegedly stalking a 15-year-old boy in Elmira. Police say they saw an adult male following the teen around 12:45 a.m. Wednesday on the 100 block of North Main Street.
They say the teen told police the adult continued to follow him and tried to talk to him even after the teen told the man to leave him alone.
Police arrested Douglas Walrath, 40, and charged him with stalking. Walrath is a level three sex offender in New York.
