SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Court documents have revealed new details about the brutal murder of a Syracuse man during a robbery, and what led to an arrest. It happened back on October 19th at the West Kennedy Street home of Jerry Mack, 65.

Jerry Crosby Junior, 30, was arrested and charged with first degree murder, robbery, burglary and criminal possession of a weapon.

You may remember that Mack's seven-year-old son witnessed the attack. He managed to escape and call 911.

According to court documents, Crosby and another person strangled and stabbed Mack 62 times, and that a blood stain in the victim's apartment matched Crosby's DNA.

The murder charge is first degree because the alleged act happened in the course of committing a robbery and burglary.
