SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Kids love Halloween. They love dressing up in costumes, getting free candy, and everything else that goes along with the holiday. But for some children this holiday seemed impossible to celebrate.
The staff at Golisano Children's Hospital made the celebrations a reality. They set up the 11th and 12th floors for trick-or-treating,and staff members handed out candy.
"It puts a smile on the kid's faces, it puts a smile on the adult's faces. It's just a really happy day for us," said Gina Lozito-Yorton, Certified Child Life Specialist.
Hospital staff say this Halloween event really helps cheer the children since they can't go trick-or-treating in their own neighborhoods.
