BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- Two people are dead following a later afternoon incident on Binghamton's northside. Binghamton Police said a report of two bodies found at 124 Liberty Street came in around 4 p.m. on Thursday.

It is being investigated as a murder-suicide. Detectives said it stemmed from a domestic incident and ended with a man killing a woman, before taking his own life. The cause of death is not being released at this time, but officials said it was not a shooting. The bodies will be sent to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse for autopsies.
