SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Facing the top rushing attack in the Big East without one of your best defensive linemen is not the preferable way to do it, which is why the Syracuse football team is hoping defensive tackle Jay Bromley can recover from an injury sustained in practice in time to play Cincinnati on Saturday.

Head coach Doug Marrone revealed Thursday Bromley suffered a lower body injury on Tuesday, and the training staff is working hard to get him back on the field.

Syracuse and Cincinnati kick off at noon Saturday. The game will be televised on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel.
