CAYUGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- A trial has been scheduled for mid-March for the Cayuga County man accused of murdering his ex-girlfriend.
David McNamara was arrested last year, accused of strangling Katie Socci to death. The 29-year-old mother was found buried along a nature trail near her Auburn home in June of 2011.
McNamara has been charged with second degree murder, but is already behind bars serving a five year prison sentence for an unrelated drug charge.
The Cayuga County District Attorney says his trial has been scheduled to begin on March 18.
