SKANEATELES, N.Y. -- Another group of community leaders is poised to make a difference. The group Leadership Greater Syracuse graduated its class of 2012 Thursday night.

The ceremony was a culmination of a yearlong program where the students learned about the political, economical, social and educational opportunities in Central New York. It also was the first under new leadership.

Pam Brunet took over as Executive Director a few weeks ago. An LGS grad herself, she is a true believer of the program.

"The first and most important thing I want to do is really maintain the integrity of the program that we have. This one year program is really solid, and we have the data to prove that our folks are out there making a difference," Brunet said.

"I think this organization is well poised. It has over a thousand graduates who are connected to the organization, who are out there doing great things every day. Just walking the talk of the organization and being involved in moving this community forward," said Sherry Massotti, past executive director of LGS.

Leadership Greater Syracuse has been around for 21 years.
