MANLIUS, N.Y. - Friday was a busy day in the Fayetteville-Manlius athletics department as head football coach Paul Muensch stepped down and seven student-athletes signed their National Letters of Intent to play on at the college level.

Muensch coached football for 20 seasons, the last 12 at F-M, and decided now was the right time to retire from that position to spend more time with his family and on his classroom activities as a social studies teacher at the school. An open search for a new head coach will begin after Thanksgiving.

The NLI signers were Claire Meyers (Syrause crew), Cara Esposito (Colgate lacrosse), Hannah Vause (Niagara lacrosse), Brian Bedell (Monmouth lacrosse), Jack McClure (St. Bonaventure baseball), Lindsey Trachtenberg (Bucknell lacrosse), and Jack Robinson (Bucknell swimming).
