SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- A man has been arraigned on a number of charges after an overnight standoff in Syracuse.

Daniel Duhamel, 48, was charged with first degree reckless endangerment, along with menacing and criminal possession of a weapon.

Police say it all started Sunday night around midnight when Duhamel began fighting with his roommate. According to police, during the fight, Duhamel fired a shot into the apartment above. That's when police were called and a SWAT team was brought in.

Police say they were able to get Duhamel into custody without incident around 3:15 a.m. Monday.

Several residents were trapped in their apartments during the incident, but no one was hurt.
