UTICA, N.Y. -- A taxi cab driver was reportedly robbed at gunpoint in the City of Utica Wednesday night.

Police say it happened around 8:30 p.m. along the 1200 block of Capital Avenue.

Investigators say the driver was called to the area to pick someone up when he was approached by several men. One of the suspects showed his gun, struck him and then ran off with cash.

Utica Police are asking anyone with information to give them a call.
