ONEIDA COUNTY, N.Y. -- An Oneida County man admitted to assault for shooting at three people earlier this year. Prosecutors say Albert Nellenbach, 35, of Ava fired a .22 caliber rifle at people who came to his property looking for another man in August.

Nellenbach was in a sleeping bag near the tree line on Webster Hill Road, when investigators say he jumped up and fired at the group. One man was hit in the ear, elbow and back.

Nellenbach is scheduled to be sentenced in February.
