Man in critical condition after car crashes into grocery store

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- The driver who crashed into Weis Supermarket in Binghamton is in critical condition.

The crash happened around 12:30 p.m. Friday.

Authorities say the man was speeding down Burr Avenue when he cut across the intersection and hit the front window of the store. He was taken to Wilson Hospital, where he is on life support.

A woman and two children were also in the vehicle and were hospitalized with minor injuries.

No customers or employees were hurt.
