CANTON, N.Y -- Canton Police have made one arrest, but are still looking for a second suspect in connection with a stolen ATM from the lobby of the St. Lawrence University Book Store.

Brandon Crandall, 21, has been charged with criminal mischief and two counts of grand larceny in connection with the theft that took place last Friday.

Police recovered over $17,000 of the $35,000 that was in the ATM at the time.

Authorities believe Joseph Lugo, 24, has the rest. A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Lugo. Police believe he has left the area, but should be considered armed and dangerous.
