WATERTOWN, N.Y. -- The law firm best known for working with Erin Brockovich on the case that was turned into a Hollywood blockbuster has agreed to take on another case with her that involves contamination at the former New York Air Brake site in Watertown.

Residents living in Watertown's North Side tell us the law offices of Masry and Vititoe have agreed to represent them. Members of that community believe they suffer from multiple health problems related to chemicals from the site on Starbuck Ave.

Just a few weeks ago, a representative from the firm and an investigator who works with Brockovich attended a public DEC hearing in Watertown.

"Just their name alone. The expertise, the lawyers that they work with have a great reputation for taking on Fortune 500 companies and fighting for the people," said North Side resident Andrew Williams.

Some members of Brockovich's team are expected back in Watertown this spring to conduct more testing.
