YATES COUNTY, N.Y. -- Police were forced to storm a Penn Yan home after a standoff on Tuesday.

Investigators say they were called to the house after reports that a man was threatening to burn it down. When police arrived, he started the fire.

According to detectives, officers were forced to storm the house to make an arrest.

The suspect was taken to Soldiers and Sailors Hospital for evaluation.

Penn Yan police have not released the suspect's name or the charges he faces.
