SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- A Syracuse attorney pleaded guilty to bribing witnesses in connection with a 2010 shooting that left one man dead.

Ezequiel Neuman was indicted on 21 counts and faced 25 years in jail if convicted of the most serious charge.

Investigators say he used cash and cocaine to bribe witnesses in the murder trial of Emilier Carrasquillo-Fuentes. Carrasquillo-Fuentes is accused of shooting and killing another man in 2010. That trial was scheduled to begin next month.

As part of his deal, Neuman agreed to give up his law license, surrender his green card and leave the country. He will be sentenced on January 24th.
