A Seneca County man will answer to murder charges next month in connection with the death of his son four years ago.

Thursday, a grand jury indicted Karl Karlsen on two counts of murder and one count of insurance fraud.

Karlsen was arrested last week and charged with killing his son, Levi, in 2008. The death was thought to be accidental when a truck fell on Levi, pinning him to a garage floor.

Police now believe Karlsen caused the vehicle to fall on Levi. They also learned earlier this year that Karlsen had taken out a large life insurance policy on his son just before the death.

Levi's family members are calling for justice.

The Seneca County District Attorney says Seneca County has not seen a murder there in 11 years.

Karl Karlsen remains behind bars in the Seneca County lock up without bail. His arraignment is set for December 10th.
