SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- A 12-year-old boy has been accused of robbing a woman at gunpoint.

Syracuse Police say the boy and three other kids his age approached a 19-year-old Le Moyne College student outside of Cam's pizza shop Thursday afternoon, demanding she give them her purse. When the woman refused, the 12-year-old pulled out a gun.

As it turns out, the weapon was actually a pellet gun. But the boy who was armed has been charged with robbery and is being held at the Hillbrook Juvenile Detention Center.

Police also believe he was one of several young suspects involved in a burglary earlier this week.
