ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- One traffic headache in the Syracuse area ends, while another one is just around the corner.

The DOT says Interstate 481 North and Kirkville Road have re-opened as of noon Monday. The highway was closed at Exit 5E on Wednesday as crews began replacing the bridge.

Meanwhile, crews are getting ready to begin work on the Interstate 81 north ramp to Interstate 690 east. That starts Tuesday.

The ramp will close to all traffic with some lane closures possible as well. Detours will be posted.
