OTSEGO COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Otsego County Sheriff's office arrested a major heroin dealer.

Officials picked up Steven Rochelle Belton, 43, of Oneonta, on Tuesday. Deputies say they found 40 packets of heroin valued at $800, 40 grams of marijuana valued at $400, three digital scales and more than $14,000 in cash.

Rochelle Belton has been charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of marijuana, among other drug charges. He is being held at the Otsego County Correctional Facility without bail because of two previous felony charges.

If convicted, he could face 15 years to life in prison.
