CENTRAL NEW YORK -- WCNY has announced that it has cancelled its daily "Reith" television show. The daily public affairs show was hosted by longtime radio host Jim Reith, who was dropped by WSYR radio a little more than a year ago after spending nearly 30 years with the station.

In the spring, WCNY launched the "Reith" show, but executives say it was a greater challenge than anticipated to move Jim's brand from radio to television. WCNY says it plans to introduce a new daily public affairs show next year.
