Syracuse men accused in multiple bank robberies

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Two Syracuse men are charged in a Rome bank robbery that happened this summer, and police say it's not the first bank they hit. Police arrested Brandon Rothenburgh and James Nicholson, both 34.

Both are charged in connection with robbing the M&T Bank on Black River Boulevard in Rome in July, but they have also been linked to a series of bank robberies in Auburn and Gates.

They were taken into custody back in September, and the FBI has been following the case ever since.

Rothenburgh pleaded not guilty to the Rome robbery and four others. The case against Nicholson is still pending.
